FIVE STAR HOSTEL
We can imagine you have no idea what we mean with a 5 star hostel. Is this a marketing trick, a brilliant idea or just nonsense?
The short cut to explain this is to give some insight in ‘our’ (average) ratings. For us these ratings mean feedback, how our guests look at us. You can find this feedback on several booking engines and websites. Ofcourse it is impossible to please everyone but we try.

Character (8.6)
The Bulldog, stubhorn, self-styled…Amsterdam. Already for 30 years we know what we want and did we turned ourselves in more then just a coffeeshop.
· Security (8.9)
First aid trained, lines-man proportioned but friendly security, inhouse video cameras, electronical key cards, fire safety certificates, trained in food hygiene and cleanliness, spacious emergency corridors.
The only thing we do not have is light signals for the deaf people (yet).
· Location (9.3)
You can t change a location. And in our case we would be idiots to think about it. If you like Fellini films, go for a walk. Yes we are located on the edge of the red light district. So do not stare at drugdealers or take pictures of the prostitutes! But believe it or not the Red Light is on of the most safe areas of Amsterdam.
